A very nice looking rig!
Never been easy to get nice Lugers and holsters!
You mention the word Luger and peoples eyes light up!
Many yrs ago I had a fella at the steel mill with a luger!
He thought it was worth a new car!
Now I know their are some pricey ones! So many types and yrs!
But!!!!!!!!!!!

Was a collector who liked SS things!

Hello cannot compet with any of the very nice Lugers shown here already, but here is my "everyday" Luger. An army converted from a former police Luger (with proper stampings). Converted by removing the Schiwy safety. Regards,

Were gold Lugers ever made? I don't mean a custom job by one individual that is.

I don't think any were produced as models. If they were made, they were made for Presentation pieces. Ed

Interesting question, ASmith.
From what I have seen there were only original Lugers with slightly varying shades bluing.
I have seen Lugers plated with chrome and brass but these were done by post war owners.
Anyone aware of other finishes ? On Lugers or P-38s ?

I think at one point the Luger was my all time favorite gun. There's something about classic guns in gold. This picture is from a game I think, but I think it gets my point across. If they had been made, and would probably be outside my budget, I still like to " window shop."

I am no expert on Lugers. But I am fairly sure there were NO factory produced Lugers in Gold as a production firearm. For a special occasion, or a presentation piece, yes. But, if they were produced for sale?, where are they???

The pictured Lugers were Krieghoff presentation pieces made for Herman Georing. Production pieces were always blued.
