Believed to be a 3rd reich era SA ring... I asked the dagger guys. Is this a SA dagger handle emblem? We'll see..

But for me,,,this is no made for retail SA ring... IF, if a SA man wanted a ring while they had some respect it wouldn't have been a problem..

Even later in the war a jeweler would maybe make a one off ,,use a pin, stic pin emblem etc. and have a way easier time making a ring and would look a lot better. Do not think they would have went to a dagger button for a custom.. For me this is not 3rd reich era.. Value,,,very little.

Anyone have a comment?

Not sure. A better picture would help. The runes varied in minor detail .

It's hard to say for sure from one blurry photo but I tend to agree, Gaspare. The SA didn't have any credibility after June 1934, so I don‘t imagine there would have been many who were crazy (or brave) enough to want an SA ring.
There are a couple of known SA ring patterns from the early days of the Third Reich, but this isn't one that I ever saw before. It would be interesting to know how the size of the SA emblem on the ring compares with that on an SA dagger.

Dave,,,much thanks for the photos. It could even be a repro dagger button, or one of the fake stic pins based off the button..

Thats the one photo I got of the emblem. It comes in a nic old box which is probably authentic to the period. And,, a nice pair of boxed cufflinks. The links and box are good. Ring, NG.

Thats a common thing that happens. A authentic piece with a good fake that can't be rid of by itself,,the piece added to it to bring up the profits and rid themselves of the fake piece..

SVb,,"SA didn't have any credibility after June 1934, so I don‘t imagine there would have been many who were crazy (or brave) enough to want an SA ring."
Thats the way to think with SA rings.. The few patterns that are out there are hard to find,,,and a 'new' pattern or dug piece never before seen should have the alarm bells going off!

Ok guys happy hunting!

That’s a cool ring, Dave. What’s the date on the sides? Looks like 1981?

The date was 1931.

A guy brought in some rings and stickpins to sell. That one was not bought.
