Is this for real or a fantasy item?

Vern, I have always been under the idea that a rivet went in the eyelet? Is that wire??

Thanks,

Not mine - from my image files. I never got into RZM daggers, even unissued.

Great photos. Wouldn't you just have to have at least one chained and RZM to finish a collection?? That;s why I do not have a SS yet, the bug would wipe me out.

Ed,

I have an SS RZM 1198/38 (or39) somewhere in the bank box.

And I have a chained SS ... with an early Puma inside ... with a lower guard marked Om

Somehow, I thought you would.
The chained is nice.

We cannot see much of the chain... A, B1 or B2 type?

Did you compare the grip with an early SA by Puma?

Herman,

It could be B12, C, or D3 .. I don't chains. And, No, I have not.

From Dave's photo, it does not look like a type C. Unless all the blackening has been removed,
I'd say B1 or B2.

Looks
B1 or B2 to me. and I know nothing. The B1 has deeper pebbling in the fields, but a pro, such as JR, with these chains would have to say.
Still, a wonderful dagger, and the others also.
