Some guys like their rings mint, some only boxed,,some only ground dug.. Some happy with any condition just to have it!!

Thats me... Happy to have a pattern no matter what shape.

I'm not a specialist WestWall ring collector per say.. Sure I have 30 or so WW rings... *This is a very rare pattern . There are a couple period adverts for it. Part of the Oaks & Acorn patterns -Odal had a very nice condition one . Even still had the silver wash on it! , His widow got close to a grand for it at auction. [Way sure she'd rather have him back then 1000 of them frown ]

OK, so a rare, expensive WW pattern ring... I get offered a relic condition one a couple weeks ago. Legit ground dug... At first he wanted crazy money for it. I said good luck, nice knowing you.

I helped him out with a few things, and around Easter he changes his mind. He says I can have it for a [what I call] a very good/fair price.. A bit more negotiating and,,, It's on its way..

Some of you will say after looking at the photo 'G's losing it!'... Yeah its in pretty bad shape. This day and economy I'm not going to spend $100s on one. Even IF things were well with the economy I'm not going to spend big on this..
So,, yeah its poor/relic etc. condition.. But at well under $100. I'll take it and be happy... Now it just has to make that Atlantic crossing!
Patience,,,and have faith guys! smile , Happy hunting ...,G.

well there are so many that claim a piece is ground dug. We have a interesting topic up near the top now. About the famous ;Viking SS ring' which shows the extent they go to get their money..
This WW ring I know the seller a bit. Know they dig a little as a hobby and they mentioned they found it while digging. The way this looks it seems it is a legitimate dug piece,,[my own opinion I happen to believe them].

- IF this was a more common pattern I wouldn't have gave it a 2nd look.. For the price I paid for it I am satisfied...

The infamous video:
