Thanks you guys. Having one like this really hits all the high points with me and I was never an Army “type” guy.

I like Voos style.

I have a few 2nd Lufts with this etch or it's variants.

Here it is on a CJ Krebs oval marked blade.

I know you do! I never tire of seeing your stuff!

Just 1 question? When you say style is it the Voos etch used or something clode!

Thank You John

There are three versions of the Voos style etched, 2 of which are on Unmarked blades and the third on maker marked blades. I believe all three were etched by Voos.

Here is a WKC marked blade.

I said 3 versions.

The etch on maker marked blades is one.

Unmarked blades show the other 2.

The first difference is that the marked blade etch on the marked side is shorter while the Unmarked blades have a longer etch since they need no room for the maker mark.

These two versions differ in the detail of the etch closest to the tip.

Here is one with no extra dots.

Obverse Etch.JPG (33.23 KB, 58 downloads)

Obverse Hilt.JPG (32.84 KB, 58 downloads)
Obverse.JPG (31.01 KB, 58 downloads)

Reverse Etch.JPG (34.05 KB, 58 downloads)

The other version has extra dots in the tip portion of the etch.
