Picked up this Railway Station Master visor a couple weeks ago. As you can see, it's in rough shape. I would like to have it professionally cleaned (covered in oil or similar) and have the visor/sweatband reattached. Considering taking it to a local cleaners, but wasn't sure if they would be too rough on it. Any recommendations for restoration services? Thanks!
Regards, Aaron

Aaron Not that I know anything about restoring a visor, but I would not go with the local cleaners. I'm sure there is someone, or several people that restore visors, headgear is a very popular collecting wing. Hope someone helps out. I collect WWII items, and also Lionel Trains, I would love to find one in this condition to restore, as I am kind of out of collecting high dollar items now. Can I ask, how much did you have to give for it? Good luck Ed
