Am i right that this knife is a pre war and pre for the Hj knifes? Thin blade and round logo in the grip.

I seem to remember previously seeing a couple of Herder examples like this previously. My guess is some sort of sample to be used by a salesman.

When Kim Alstott and I used his example in my book: "NPEA DAGGERS and ASSOCIATED KNIVES", we felt that it was a salesman sample piece.

Looks like a period, HJ style knife, but without the HJ motto right?
