We had a great thread on bayonets and so many collectors shared!
Now with new book coming out on etched bayonets why not get the juices going and show us some of your favorite etched bayonets in you collection!
Which ones are you still looking for?
Favorite makers"
I admit I only had some army standard etched bayonets!
Just did not know all things to look for! Late to the party I quess!
Some of you have been strong in your hunt!
I admit I like Panzer, and some others for sure!
Military Nut god rest is soul! Said the Russians were buying all of them up at a show that he saw!
Don't know now as shows are cranking up!
How many buy on rarity or condition!~
How many are excited the new book is out?
Anyone have any of their items in books!
Thanks for looking and hope we learn and see more!

John
Some really nice panzers! Outstanding items! Pics bring them to life!
So the firms pretty much engraved for any branch! Infantry,Cav,Luft, police, officers, enlisted!
Navy?
So the people who wanted something done ordered thru store,or maybe factory reps traveled?
What do we know on people who did the work?
What if someone wanted something done! At factory or uniform store!
Beautiful work,Stag is nice also!
Thanks for showing your passion!

Was thinking on ww1 vets! Or maybe period engraving done! Must have been large amount of skilled workers to perform the work on all the items engraved! Bayonets, swords,Hunting etc etc!
Wonder if they had departments for ea or 1 large area!
Did companies send out the work to Eickhorn lets say or did many do their own!
Do you as a owner of so many nice things, notice engraving styles or differences?
Thanks for your time!

Gaspare
I had the 1st book on Von Ryans book but since I didn't find many ,I ended up getting rid of book at some point!
Like many dealers and writers they seem to not post on forums anymore!
Unless they want to ask members something!
Tom W does video's and had his catelogs, and JR always pops up on forums!
Shared much on chained daggers and types of chains! Rail Rd eagles also!
But many are quiet as a mouse!

Sadly some are just takers Paul..Some feel they have nothing to add anymore.. Some just not in to it anymore...
And,, the dwindling amount or collectors either thru death or not enough young guys coming in to it... Its a expensive hobby now. Great reproductions out there. Some books either new or the classic oldies, aren't as accurate as we once thought they were..
The guys like us are getting less and less every year. We still enjoy it [the collecting] ,,enjoy the history,,, enjoy restoring/preservation,,,, enjoy the hunt!!
