The blade appears to me to possibly have a postwar dedication added to the reverse. It is probably modeled after the example on Wittmann’s SS book, page 243, although that example has plain type fittings. I have seen fakes of this same combination previously on Eban, out of the Czech Republic. The blade might be period but could very well be entirely postwar.

The fittings are nicely done but of the type we have seen more and more of in recent years, also coming from the Czech Republic.

My sense of it is while this piece may have some original parts. The grip is almost certainly not period with that awful grip emblem poorly placed in it. Whatever it is, it is most definitely humped up and not desirable.

Agree

Notice the poorly fitting throat piece, too

And the "P" on the reverse crossguard whistle

Someone certainly has put a lot of work in this piece, but unfortunately is was not done in the 1930 ties...

Best regards,

Herman
