Hi , I wonder if anyone on the forum could help me identify this ring that I bought ?
I got it today from a local dealer who told me it had come from part of a large WW2 collection and that based on the other items they’d gotten from the collection they believed this ring to be an authentic German WW2 ring .
Having a better look at it when I got home it seems to be hallmarked silver but the hallmark , to me , looks to be made in Birmingham , UK and possibly 1940’s which seems odd .
I’ve not been able to find anything matching it online that has the same “ Meine ehre heist treue “ engraving in the inside with the totenkopf design on the outside .
To me with my limited knowledge it’s looking like a fake , albeit an old one , produced after the war and probably not worth much either .
Any help or opinions on this ring would be much appreciated , many thanks , Jamie
Apologies but having problems uploading pics

Hi Jamie73,

Welcome and thank you for posting. You are correct it's not an original TK ring.

Yep, I‘m no Ehrenring expert but this is a poor copy. Authentic ones did not have the SS motto engraved on them. Sorry.

So a quick update about this ring .. I took to back to the dealers who were very apologetic and offered a full refund . In the end I decided to keep the ring and they refunded 50% of what I’d paid for it so a good outcome for me as I still like the ring even if it’s not an original .
After looking at the hallmarks in more detail pretty certain now that the ring was made in Birmingham by a silversmith called Albert Jackson in 1954 .

Jamie,,, Sometimes copies , especially old one do have some value to them... Maybe a couple hundred dollars maximum. Hopefully that's where your investment falls in to..

IF your looking for one of the best if not the best copies out there check Es rings:
