Lots of SA daggers!

Looks like they do grab folks!

Now the question is how many are vertical hangers on them!

Dave

I count 6 on your pics!

Makers? Tell us about some guys!

Some good pics when you can in smaller batches of makers and close ups!

I believe much to learn looking!

Thanks for sharing and hope for more!

Did the soldiers take every dagger from the SA folks?

Lots of history!

Well, it looks like Herman took all the nice SA's that were around, and Dave got the SS.

Thanks for showing some outstanding photos.

Now everyone remembers Patrice from Canada!

He was a member here on GD!

If a dagger had dust under a magnifer he wouldnt buy it!

Great collection. It looks like there are over 100 daggers in the photo. It must have taken a long time to put them in such a large circle. I will try to photograph a few of the rarest and most interesting of mine.

Yes, those are some super nice daggers.
AND, they all have the hangers on them. Here in the USA, most are off when the dagger hits the market. We claim that the leather is lost to time, but it is for sure greed.

Hello Ilya,

You are very good in estimating!
But I must admit that these SA's got some reinforcements...

Hello Ilya,

Thx.

It's more an ellipse than a circle.

Herman, you have a great collection. I have not seen anything like this for a long time, although I have seen very large collections. Do you only collect early daggers by makers? How many numbered daggers do you have?

Hello Ilya,

Do you mean numbered Nordmark SA-daggers or numbered SS-daggers?

In my opinion, it is not about how many daggers (or other items) you manage to collect, but how happy you get when finding a new "treasure for your collection", which is of course also a very personal concept...

The number of items is simply the result of how long you continue to collect.

When it comes to SA-daggers, I personally focus is on Röhm dedication daggers.

Best regards,

Herman

Every one that shares their items are thanked and appreciated for the effort to share!

I would like to know who has numbers of SA man on daggers! Very interesting!

I have only had a few!

Have they been able to trace them yet!

I have only seen or held a Honor SA dagger at Houstons house!

That level of stuff and pieces are very exciting!

History of many such items are way above my pay grade of collecting!

Yes I collected for many yrs and never reach that level of effort or affordability!

Some of are members have and I thank them for a chance to see the amazing stuff of the period!

Hope to see some that have been posted before! I would like to know their thoughts to own such history!

If you have been blessed to find them in the woods or just had to find them to buy,it must give you a serious lump in your throat
to do so!

The Houstons,Galiens,T,W, and many of the legends from the past and future must be saluted!

Thanks for showing guys! Most amazing hobby!

To me, Herman got it right:

"In my opinion, it is not about how many daggers (or other items) you manage to collect, but how happy you get when finding a new "treasure for your collection", which is of course also a very personal concept..."

In SA daggers, my two treasures are an ordinary Emil Voss SA given to me by my Uncle in 1960 ... which started me collecting ... and an EP&S Christmas Dagger I got over 25 years ago.

That is a ground Röhm Eickhorn SA-NSKK, "field upgraded" into a chained NSKK officer!

Just wonderful, PVON!

These are one of the most interesting dagger variations, in my opinion!

Is the chain steel based (magnetic) or solid nickel-silver?

Best regards,

Herman
