Collectors

Lets circle the wagons and show some US!

We can freshen up with a fresh thread and topic! Share new stuff! Old stuff!

Moderator is MR Jerry

A top end guy and collector!

But has not been seen since( A long time)

He is moderator of US on many sites! Has a web base site! A store also!

But like a few of our missing Moderators on this forum!

Its no help to try and bring back German daggers!

You can't replace that knowledge, but you can't just let the boat go around it circles with no drivers!

I see Tanker,Ed and a few who like US and try and add something!

Maybe a little help is in order!

I just hate to see a proud area or areas deserted!

Why do you like US? Or special period!

Is it WW2,WW1,Cival War,all time frames!

Uniforms,medals groupings,swords,what!

Air Apache 345th 5th Air Force! Group! 499 group!

Peter E. Taranu

This is my US Army presentation sword. Referred to as a President's sword. This is a acid etched Damascus steel blade. Probable manufacture pre WWI. Presented to Major Joseph Kantz from the Jefferson volunteers.

The grip is Ivorine, the whole sword is heavily silver plated. I understand these were awarded by Presidents of universities and such. Here is a photo of the dedication. This is the only ac id etched Damascus US sword I have ever seen.

Here is something different: A cap badge from Texas A & M from 1940.

It is the US Army prewar officer's cap badge with the A & M initials added across the top.
