Collectors
This was a top shelf area for so much info and stuff!
This tunic was found many yrs ago and was dirty and frankly been thru the war!
I suspect it was no prom queen and was in the action!
The SS insignia on it or runes! Means a full membership in SS!
I have only come across one like this that was no doubt on it like it was supposed to be!
No after the war bs!
This was a nice item to show for collectors heading to the SOS!
OR better for folks not going! Something to look at!

a tough piece as many don't believe they were not postwar add ons.. But there were such jackets wartime and sometimes you gotta go on faith when you want/like something! Probably sell at the MAX if not SOS

True but many have no clue!
This was sold many moons ago!
When you get a foot locker full of all police stuff from vet!
You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes!
I am looking to share something! Not sell anything!
Good stuff sells faster than light!
Slow footed folks don't score!

my apologies,, read too fast, thought you meant sell at SOS.. I'm not saying its not a fine piece,,as it surely appears.. But stories don't always go over big with many... Andy was famous for his 'f**k the story G,,,its got to stand on its own!' I had mentioned faith before. Yes for me thats a big piece of the puzzle. Many pieces that fit on their own will make the provanance. There are tips collectors use to determine authenticity of a jacket like yours.. Have you done any research about it?

No problem G
I understand doubts on many things! Collectors no longer find the whole footlocker full of stuff like we did many many moons ago!
It would be like you finding a barn full of Indian motorcycles!
You know when you know!
But they need to see stuff as it came back from ww2! I will end up showing 6 or 7 pieces of headgear and all the other stuff!
Might even have the pic of footlocker full!
The vet was a flight surgeon attached to 92nd bomb group.
J.R. Henry was his name
Entire footlocker plus guns came home with him! Didn't get the guns!
From Miss. Very hot climate!
This vet was in the right place!
I was hoping collectors could see something for starts! Dirty close look stiching, age !
The place was Regansburg! stack of police patches in orange and green with towns name!
Have to resize picss!

agree, Good Police stuff is is tough now.. The cap is very nice!!
With jackets,,,years ago when guys were making fake ink stamps and stamping the size etc. inside the linings. [Think it was John Casino they told me to check them!] Many times the arm length / other sizes are way off. So between a couple of suspicious things on a jacket and the ink size stamp is way off,,its usually a fake/put together..
