For some reason Herman all the HJ knives that I see now from pawnshop and such
are just poor condition! Does not interest me! Have to keep looking!

Few daggers or knives saw any use at all. The HJ knives were scout knives any many were actually used. The other type that got a lot of use were the fighting knives or boot knives. Many are found sharpened. But I suspect that they were used on cheese, bread, wurst, spuds, meat and the like  Dave
