I was in the army 1963-1966.
Our issued uniforms were a mixed bag:
- The all important boots and socks were great.
- The greens and khaki dress uniforms fit and looked pretty good
- The fatigues fit like they were for a bigger guy
- The "boxer" shorts we called "Indian Shorts" because they would creep up and wipe you out.
- The field jackets and parkas were OK
- Baseball caps sucked.
Our weapon, the M14 was great.

They were long gone when I enlisted in 1963.

Going to Nam in '70, this was in the standard Navy equipment issue. Don't think they were issued in the states though

The Army did not issue them in the US or Germany
