Collectors
Have you ever bought back thing you sold? Or wanted to!
When I was younger I liked to trade and such! Trading was fun among friends but trading sorta went out as folks trading wanted something good you had and offered little to make you happy!
Can't say last time I made a trade!
Now a very dear longtime friend who collects also was tough! Once he got a item it went in the black hole!
Just saw him and all his treasures! A time machine of things 50 yrs ago!
Now I was looking on the net and sights and spotted something I sold 10 yrs ago!
Here is the for sale ad!
A nice grouping belonging to a naval aviator from ww2 consisting of his named sword, gold filled Hamilton watch(working) with his initial and date 1937. His wings and rank insignia along with his naval pilots ID. everything came together when I purchased the group from Paul V in the parking lot of Summit Racing in akron ,Ohio 10 years ago.
Boy I was tempted to buy it back!
Yes its US but very cool!

Many of us are older and been collecting a long time!
I have many times of doubt over items!
So many things we have all owned! You have to wish you could go back to when you didn''t know what you didn't know!
Military is one thing but I also think of cars also! Big engines, rag tops, muscle cars!
Memory's! they stay with us!

Yep, I get sellers remorse from time to time. Mostly I get remorseful over not buying something when I had the chance though.

Sellers remorse!
I do wish I had some of the things that I let slip thru my fingers!
Here are 2 twin SA daggers same maker! Aesculap, they sure draw a crowd!
These had the nicotine patina! 50yrs hanging while the vet or friends smoked Lucky Strike,or Camels!
Some collectors don't like the term or results!
Others like me loved the look!
You say nicotine patina and everybody knows what you mean!

Yep, I get sellers remorse from time to time. Mostly I get remorseful over not buying something when I had the chance though. I’ve been fortunate, the few higher end pieces I’ve sold I’ve never missed. But I’m with George. I’ve gotten remorse from not buying some things that I should have. Live and learn!
