Here is my new addition to the family. Its a Hammesfahr with vertical hanger. It has a unit and date engraved on crossguard. It was purchased by Tom Johnson's photographer out of an ad he ran in his home town. The lower tip is contructed of steel which is uncommon of all nickel daggers. But Tom johnson and JR feel is had never been removed being it hasnt been into collections before or passed through many hands?? Anyway that is the story on that! Im glad to have it and any comments are welcomed!

I have no idea?? It was broke down for me being that the
1st SS District/3rd Sturmbann/24 Standarte
Bottom date i have no idea if its the engraving date or i would think its a date individual to the soldier??
