just bought this WKC dagger, would welcome thoughts on it been genuine or not, also is it normal for the dagger when in its scabbard to have a bit of `play` on it rather than no movement at all?, dagger round release button moves around a bit again is this normal?, scabbard is brass with no signs of gilt, thanks

I’ve had this scenario before myself. Sometimes the pommel isn’t screwed down far enough, but I caution you not to overtighten it.
These celluloid over wood grips are fragile as is and prone to cracking if screwed down too much. If given a choice, leave it as is.

My question would be: Does the blade lock firmly into the scabbard and the hilt fitting seem loose, Or do the hilt fittings fit tight on the blade, and the dagger is loose in the scabbard. Then you can figure out the fix. Ed
