I came across a really nice engraved knife. Was wondering if they ever came from the factory like that? Also has no blade markings at all.

I think the grip plates look bad, so usually.

There is indeed not much to see on those pictures... but this HJ-knife appears to be a postwar copy: too flat hilt, grip plates checkering and a seam on the finger guard being the red flags.
