Maker mark is small oval Carl Julius Krebs. The generic fittings, presumably WKC generic fittings, are typical. The grip color and wire are not what I am used to seeing on CJ Krebs Luft daggers. They tend to be tangerine orange to dark orange with twisted brass wire. Not saying the grip is bad but I'm not crazy about it overall.

Billy and John
You two are really on the money. That is a odd grip. I have seen white grips on Krebs before, but never one this ugly. Carl usually had really nice fitting grips at the pommel and ferrule. John should know, I still look at his all the time, thanks again John. Ed

It's too bad. The small CJ Krebs maker marks, single and double ovals, are not commonly found, Imho.

The problem with the "fat grip" on this dagger is it is the same as seen on many Luftwaffe Atwood Luftwaffe "parts daggers". So, it is hard to tell the difference between a wartime or a postwar assembled dagger grip. Personally, I avoid these particular 2nd Luftwaffe daggers as it is known this Krebs mark was reproduced on postwar Luftwaffe and thin blade RAD Sr. daggers.
