Does anyone have a Blue Division Eastern front campaign Spanish Version medal??
I have always thought it was a good looking medal. What a cool eagle.
Anyone know the current value of this medal??
Thanks

Depending on condition, they can run from $350-800.

Thanks Vern
Thats what I was thinking.
A very interesting medal. I seem to only want to pick up the pricier ones as of late.
Also like the Fireman's medal to go with a Sawback bayonet I have, they are priced high also in nice condition.
The Spanish one must be kind of scarce, I have not seen one for sale, even at the SOS.
Thanks again

Thanks again Vern
They have sold ones from $300 to well over a thousand.
I guess another item never to be in my small collection.

They are in the Reference Gallery. First is the Spanish version, then the German version......

There were three versions of this medal. One, three and five-piece version. The photograph shows the one- and three-piece versions.

The one-piece original version usually costs $200-250 and the three-piece version about $1,000-1,100

Vern and coto129

Thank you much.
What a beautiful eagle.
Not sure why I can't fall for something affordable??
Just the nature of things.
Like Vern said, it's all in the search.

I have seen the one piece version referred to as an enlisted medal and the multi-piece version referred to as the officer's medal. Not sure if that statement is accurate or not. Anyone know?

is not accurate. The two types of medals were for troops, NCOs and officers. I've been collecting Blue Division items for over 30 years.

How to tell from period war time issue, sanctioned post war veteran issue, and collector marketed reproductions?
