lol. Maybe Dave...but based on track record I think murder was a stronger possibility, plus wasn't Hitler vegetarian?? I read the thought of animal cruelty made him very uncomfortable...an admirable trait imo.

A bookplate of Gerd Ruhle , publisher of the series Das Dritte Reich. A early nsdap party member 694. Also holder gpb, ss honor ring and sword according to wikpedia.

Dean - Vegan* Bratwurst ?

Actually, R?hm was a dead man walking since the earliest days. He felt that Hitler was a good at speeches and for attracting new members but that the D.A.P. should be run by officers and leaders such as himself. The feud simmered until the Beer Hall Putsch with neither having enough power to oust the other.

After was released from Landsberg, he rebuilt the SS first, then the SA, but with a leader as a "chief of staff".

R?hm then left for South America

'Treu deutsch allerwege' on the reverse of shield. WW2 era air defense/ RLB subject matter??
I don't recognize the helmet or possibly a unknown fictional character created by the artist.

Wikipedia list Graf Zepplin on 2 December 1938, over Reichenberg capital of Sudetenland timed to match Hitler's visit.
Small parachutes were thrown out with swastika flags and handbills carrying the text "Dein JA dem Fuhrer!"
LZ 130's loudspeakers played music and National Socialist propaganda for the forthcoming December 4 elections. Afterwards flew to the Reichenberg airfield and dropped 663 kg of postally cacheted souvenir mails.

Dean...,

The 'Dein JA dem Fuhrer' card is spectacular. The Zeppelin ink stamp on reverse is really nice!

Years ago my friend helped [with his collection] with a big 2 volume hardcover books on 3rd reich postcards. My books went out with the tide some years ago but just wondering:

Do you have the books? are some of your PCs in them?... , Thanks, Gaspare

Hi Gaspare
I've heard about these books but never have seen them. Bet they're awesome and a great reference. Thanks for bringing it up.

A frauenschaft card to add with reverse having a invite for a mother's cross presentation the day after christmas.

Wondering about who Topf is (guest house hosting event) and the i.d. of the ortsgruppenleiter that sent the invite.
I searched ortsgruppenleiter Eberschwang 1939 but got nothing that appeared similar.

Since the lot content was the same...maybe a horse drawn funeral procession to the temples.
The un-coated participants appear to be wearing blood orders.

Here is one I recently found:

Armored truck with 7 guys and a cool death's head.

But I like the short guy in the middle on the ground. "Stumpy" Stumpfnagel ?

That guy is an OBERsturmbahnfuhrer but the badges seem to look slightly different than I remember seeing.

I am not sure he's an German SS guy, but he is a party member.

Who else used those ranks ?

Could be a member of Der Stahlhelm. They were accepted into the SA in 1932 and used SA ranks on black tabs from late 1933 until they were disbanded and absorbed into the SA in 1935. Medal bar looks like it could be for a decorated WW1 vet wink

Thanks on the id attempt for the sd officer. That medal bar may help out Gaspare.
Looked like some type of formal gathering. The search continues.

Glad to post it Gaspare and appreciate the medal bar clue on Dr. Wieland in Olmütz.

A further search turned up the site territorial.de with mention:

"1942 Government Councilor Dr. Wieland in Olomouc" and "1. 1. 1940
also refered to "Olomouc in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia" so I guess it's a start.
Not sure the sd officer in the photo is the doctor the site is mentioning but it's a start. Maybe I'll see if i can find access to the ss dients list.

A Phillipp Bouhler card to post.
Looks like the photo might pre date the award of the golden party badge since he wears the standard party member's pin on his tie.

Posted Klosterheide lebensborn postcard.
According to Wikpedia: "In the 1930s the clinic became one of the main locations of the Lebensborn e. V., a National Socialist organization".
Showing the reverse in case there might any thing intresting...possibly a Heil Hitler bottom left.
Thanks for any translation help
