Hello guys
I have come across something that i think is pretty rare? I may be wrong... however, i am looking at a K98 with 1st SS Panzer insignia on. also has some etching on the blade. I cant find anything with the same insignia with the handle on. What do you guys think? The blade looks good and the handle does look authentic.
Any help would be much appreciated as i have done as much homework as i think i can.

guys, just another question to.. I have seen that the etchings can be from the 1970s as the british may have etched them on to up the value. could this be the same in this case? Thanks

TR period S.84/98 service bayonet, not matching with a 1942(?) scabbard and a 1944 blade. And this could be from the PW time period when many were created in the UK, although there were different batches made later on. Best Regards, Fred

Hello Fred
And there was me thinking it looked authentic! Should the auction site be calling the ww2 era?
Thanks for your help and advice!
