I rarely take it out btw. When I hold the flag up into the light I can see paper letter which is in pieces and is disintegrating and getting old and rotting, was sewed inside. Probably prayers but has anyone noticed or seen this before.. Thank you.

Can you get the paper to a white area,,,maybe with some light from behind shown thru from back you might be able to make something out..

It's not easy to take a picture of the writing. The dark areas within the center white strip is paper with writing. Could be a makers paper or prayers.

Its a 2 sided flag, nice fine lettering,, looks like a white fringe or border around it, and with the amount its probably prayers in there [just my opinion].
