For starters, the shape of the blade is not right. It looks as if it has been re-tipped. Dave

Don't take this the wrong way but if your willing to spend 3k on an SS dagger then you need to buy some books and do some research You cant just blow that sort of money then go on forums asking people what they think because it's too late then.i made the same mistake when i 1st started out but thankfully it was a ?150 army dagger and because of that i've never done it again. Its all to easy to get stitched up buy a dealer claiming its 100% i see it all the time, hope this helps you out
Regards Sean

I also highly recommend the other books by Tom Wittmann,
Luftwaffe Army Navy.
I use them a lot, especially the Luft book.

Hi guys, firstly, thank you very much for the information. As a novice I never thought there were books about that help with this kind of thing. I will steer clear of this one then. Do you guys have anyone in mind that are reputable sellers then? I will buy these books instead of the dagger and save my money for the time being then! Haha. Really appreciate it guys

Wow, This dagger looks terrible. That is not a factory grind. Scabbard looks repainted, looks like paint slopped on upper fitting. Dave is right. retipped. Look at Tom Johnson Tom Wittmann JR Meda, JR has very nice SS things. Good luck Ed

Larry Most likely the same source that call that a factory grind, and 60% original paint. There is black paint on both sides of the upper fitting. And those grind marks, I'm sure not factory. Buyer beware, Ed

Adamsky Try Meda Militaria. JR Meda is a great guy, with lots of SS to choose from. Ed

Was there ever a very early, SA full Rohm that had a copper scabbard? eagle? I heard of a dagger as described. Thank you.
