Back in the 70s and early 80s, I would see crates of Soviet (or Chinese?) Shashkas at the gun shows. They were real and not the Chinese or Indian knock offs you see today on Ebay. They were very cheap back then, but then again, so was I so I failed to purchase one. Now yhat I want one, they have all seemed to have vanished from the market. I am still looking for one here in the states.

Do a search for "Shashkas" on Amazon. They have several from a $56 Chinese knock off to a $385 Russian model

I sold a real nice one with the bayonet, fancy early pre 44 handle for a few hundred 3 years ago.. Wish I still had it.. They have risen in value and are hard to find.. Wish you good luck,,,,IF the $380 one is authentic its not a bad deal!!
