Is this a German pin and what department ? WW2 , Kriegs Marine ?

hope this e mail finds you n family doing well im still hanging in there in my personel opinion i doubt if this has anything to do with german manufacturing or third reich i will take a shot as to what i think it is american tie pin for merchant marine guys maybe some one here has a better opinion but thats what i think thanks stay well meine friend god bless andy

The crest of various navies, merchant marines, etc are very detail conscious about that detail. Ask a Marine

I feel it has a good chance of being German manufacture. When and for what organization or simply adornment?
