This is an article about Bruno Rzonca who survived the sinking of the Bismarck. This was printed in the South Bend Tribune on May 28, 2001. The story behind the article and pictures is I got this from a local picker who used to live in Indiana and used to see Bruno set up at a local gun show selling the pictures. He got Bruno to sign the picture of the Bismarck and then years later I acquired this. Regards Walter

hi landwehr well come to the gdc forum you just brought back some fond memories of when i first met bruno rzonca survivor of the bismark at a local gun show here in florida when i did many gun and military shows he came in to the lakeland florida gun show and his best friend was set up next to me all ways in the lakeland gun show was hans goebbler survivor of the sub u-505 was all was at this show with wife ericka and thier beautifull little blond haired girl i believe hans passed away three months later and the last i heard was that ericka married bruno i asked a lot of questions to hans about his time when the american navy cought them charging thier battrys in shalow waters hans was 17yrs old kid in the engine room just think like our soldiers sailors were 16-17 yrs old and went to fight for thier country proud americans/germans thats why with out a doubt they are the greatest generation and we are the keepers of thier great history thank you sir for showing us this great photo of bruno gpd bless andy

Hi Andy, It was interesting to hear your reply about Bruno. I didn't know he attended the Lakeland show. Although I haven't been to the Lakeland show in a few years, it was one of the best shows in central Florida for guns and militaria. I presently live in Leesburg not far from Lakeland. Regards Walter

hi walter yes lakeland civic center i believe it was called now i think they have it in the lakeland air port i went there once and its a good show every once in a whileyou can get a buy while doing the old show as i said hans goebler u-505 did the show with his beautifull wife erica then as i said before this bruno showed up survivor of the bismark then i never saw bruno from the bismark any more also i believe from hear say that ericka married bruno after hans gobblers death both hans and brunos history is ausum glad i witnessed it ok walter thanks for chimeing in here yes we are the kepers of this german history thanks god bless andy
