Every once in a while I find some of it on dealer-sites.....way overpriced and lacking proper knowledge in descriptions....
What happened to the Bob Coleman collection b.t.w.? He bought most of my stuff....and where are all SA-uniforms anyway....hardly ever so one for sale and, believe me, they were there for the taking, back in the 80's....

Thisone was sold to Bob and found again on a dealers site a few years ago. Pity the dealer didn't know the cap is the ultra rare Lagermutze for officers as was explained in the headgear book of my good friend Otto Spronk ( RIP )

This set was bought from the Stadnicki collection after he passed away. His wife called me to tell me and offered me the set. Ed and I were penpalls for many years

And this ultra rare piece is still for sale ( for many years now ) at the German Militaria site............seems people don;t want the real stuff anymore.... well. it came out of a trunk in Germany. I digged it out......
Well, that'll do for now since all stuff has been sold over the year so I could retire early !!!
Greetings, Graspaps ( like in Graspop, the Belgian Metal Festival ) but you old-time members might know me from the early forum days .
When I found this forum again ( by accident ) I thought it might be fun to show you some stuff from the days when collecting was fun, prices were low and fakes were easy to spot.

Hello Graspaps, was your nickname the same at your first appearance in this forum? I think to remember a member with a highly advanced and specialized SAcollection but I do not rember the nickname. I am no specialized uniform guy but can I recognize some SAWehrmannschaft Uniforms in your first pic? It catches my eyes that the arrangements are very complete, even with daggers!

At these times, the 80s, items naturally had a lower price but imho they were never cheap in regard of the value of our currencies. On the other hand prices for some good, special items seem to explode the last years but for average items and items in low condition the prices do drop delicately.

As said, I am no specialized uniform guy but I do apreciate looking at them and to learn something new: o please, where is the greatcoat in your last picture from (the pic is very blurry too), naval SA?

Regards,

BTW, as member of the -Oberste SAFuehrung- your cheap wink white tunic would have been in need of this one for completition.

Hi Wotan, nice dagger. Is it yours? Yep, all my tunics where compete with shirts, belts, daggers, trousers etc.
I don't have picture of everything I had back in the days but it was one of the largest (known) SA collections. Bob C. and Ed S. had far bigger collections but here in Europe SA wasn't very popular in the collectorsworld which was a good thing...for me.
I guess that's different nowadays because I hardly ever see SA items for sale.......
My nickname wasn't the same back then. In those days my homeland was part of my nickname.....and I was the founder and moderator of the SA uniform section here...

Hi I acquired Bob's early Gau tunic as pictured in Jeff Clarks book. I sold it three weeks ago and it is currently on auction on emedals along with Bob's Reichsleitung visor which was mine also. I also purchased one of bob's early red piped Gau visors. These were all acquired last year. Some privately some at Max and SOS. I have not seen Bob's finer, rare items anywhere for sale. cheers and best, Ryan

Well, as said, I have found some of the items he bought frm me (he bought 90% of my SA Collection) but haven't seen the SA Marine (with silver insignia), FHH and 1923 set yet as well as some of the more common stuff.
