Hey guy's looking for some help here, those of you that know me, know that I collect mainly Imperial Spiked helmets along with my brother Paul. My Brother passed away earlier this year suddenly at 58, yea it sucks. Well most of his collection I have a handle on, but besides spiked helmets he also collected some Japanese stuff, mainly some swords and sword blades and a couple really cool Kubuto's (old Samurai helmets) I think that is the correct word.

Anyway I have started to ask around for help with ID of maker marks on blades and also values on the blades and helmets etc. I am running into road blocks, everyone I have contacted fails to give me any values, just "what do you want for them"... well, I am not looking to get rich or sell at BIG dealer prices, but I also do not want to get ripped off if you know what I mean.

Any leads on a contact of contacts that will be fair and help out with ID's and values

Not trying to be cheap here, just need some help as these are not my field of expertise.

When they won't give you a value, but ask what you want for them tells you two things: You things are worth something and the people responding are ........

Somewhere I have a sword site bookmarked. Give me a day or so to find it.

Photographing the characters on the hilt and posting them sometimes leads to IDs.
