I am putting together a photo file of Rohm SS dagger inscriptions by maker. So far, I have 9 different as follows-
Boker (small mark) Eickhorn (large mark/smooth tail, small mark/smooth tail, small mark/serrated tail) Hammesfahr Herder Klaas (large mark, small mark) Kober
I would like to see a photo of any other makers you may have. Also, does anyone have an Eickhorn Rohm with the large mark and serrated tail?

I am really glad to see that Kober Rohm dagger.
I have one that is shown in TW's book and for quite a while it was the only known example.

Thanks Vern, are these from one collection? I hate to say it, but several of these have bad inscriptions, some appear to have "Ernst Rohm" added?

Not from a collection. They are either photos taken at shows or from dealer listings.

I have 16 makers who produced Rohm etched SA daggers and will start posting the photos tomorrow. These photos are primarily to show the maker's mark used and it's positioning on the blade for each maker. Some makers used the same mark on both Rohm and non-Rohm daggers while others either moved the mark closer to the crossguard or used a smaller mark. Authenticating a Rohm etch should be done with the dagger in hand as focus, lighting, and angle can effect the photo image.

And just to complete the etched series, here is a Himmler. Carl Eickhorn was the only maker, and this is the only correct original maker mark.....

For ease of viewing, all the above photos have been loaded into a gallery in the 3rd Reich Daggers & Swords thread of the GDC Reference Gallery. The gallery is named "SA/SS Rohm Dagger Makers".

A very rare version of the Himmler Honor SS dagger came with Eickhorn's large oval trademark as well.

And there are some extremely rare "Christmas" SA and SS M33's which bear the Rohm dedication by both Pack & Eickhorn edged weapon firms.

JR is correct, as usual
The SA prototypes or "Christmas Daggers" were ALL full Rohms.
The EP&S examples carried the well-known EP&S logo set close to the crossguard. The one below is currently for sale by TW.
Note: I have altered the contrast to make the trademark more visible but the grind marks look worse.

The Eickhorn "Christmas Daggers" used the older single oval trademark.
The example shown below is from a French Reference book. Sorry for the poor pics

JR,
You mentioned "And there are some extremely rare "Christmas" SA and SS M33's which bear the Rohm dedication by both Pack & Eickhorn edged weapon firms."
I'd love to hear more about the SS "Christmas" dagger
Thanks

Well, JR sure does know his SS daggers. I was lucky enough one day to see a bunch of them in a JR SS dagger lesson. WOW!! was that something I will never forget. All dagger dealers should take lessons from JR and Kris on how to treat potential customers and collectors, the hobby would be better, and larger. One thing odd though?!** He kept his sweetest SS out in the garage covered with a blanket??? Go figure? Ed

Would like additional info on the large trademark Himmler. I've only seen 2 and after in hand examination, both were bad. And here's an early Pack.....
