- cool looking thing,,,but not authentic.... Appears to be one of the reproduction/fantasy items from the early 90s.

items like this, along with fugazy cigarette cases, stop watches, match safe/boxs , rings, awards, blades ,document stamps etc etc etc. were plentiful in the Baltics, East Europe as soon as the USSR broke up.

These items got called out and went away somewhere... Guess now that almost 30 years have past they are coming out again to catch the newer collectors.. Hit up all the forums before you buy or at least make sure you get a return privilege!!

Next thing you know we'll be asked to authenticate a Nazi GPS unit.

Cotoroanta, I would suggest start out collecting traditional items like medals/daggers. Yes, they could still be faked but at least you'll have an item actually known to exist during the 3rd Reich. As it stands, it appears that you are attracted to oddball metal items with Swaztikas, eagles and SS runes attached to them, and here you will find almost nothing is legit if you tried 100 times. If you insist on hoping against hope that you'll eventually find an item that is tied to WW2 Germany if only you buy enough of them [kind of like playing the lottery], pay only what you think the item is worth as a fake. If your cigarette case, for example, is actually nickel silver, then it might be worth about $8 or so. Take the fake decorations off and you might find someone interested in it as an old metal ciggy case, and they might pay $20 for it.

Andy
Hope your doing well.
I know we all get our things by buying them, thats how I got all my stuff.
Just seems odd that this person found and put all these items on the site at one time.
I'm no expert, but most of these things have a REPO sign on them.

Skynyrd
I've got a few old JPS's, I'll have to check for SS marks and eagles.

I dunno, the eagles he has been presenting look more like ducks, and the SS runes look like they were crazy glued on as an after thought. I don't doubt there are oddball metal period items that are legit but this guy is presenting a non stop display of utterly cheap junk that would embarrass any respectable faker. No insult to the OP is implied, of course he is perfectly entitled to keep posting sketchy items if he wants to.
