Thank you for your reply. Yes, it matches the shorter bayonet in your photo. Are these rare? If I could ask an approximate value. I might try to purchase the price is in the ball park.
Thanks, kc

Yes these are hard to find, police SG are easier, so many exist that are problematic. b.r.Andy

The only way to get a correct assessment of the bayonet in question is to post pics of it as there are plenty of humped up and outright fake Feldjager bayonets out there.

Billy is absolutely correct.

Please post pictures of the hilt and the blade, with particular detail to the pommel, the grips, the rivets and the grip insignia.

The emblem is attached with metal pins on the top and bottom through the stag grip.

The pictures are pretty poor as far as detail but good enough to make me think you've got a period Feldjager bayonet. From what I can see, it looks to be in nice condition.

Thank you for your reply. Sorry about the pics. Had trouble getting them to load up. Any ideas on its value? Neither me or the owner are up on its value. I could not seem to find any that have sold to get a price. Thanks again. KC

Yes the grips and other parts speaks for the piece, about the blade i assume its Eickhorn earlier production, is a short lenght, but could be right. b.r.Andy
