This silver ring is marked 925 . You should expect a molded ring could be made out of one piece, this one has a seam . Maybe it is post war. Could it be related to the prisonners camp or so ?

Hi Andy,
Yes it is often not clear what I've found on the fleamarket. In the meanwhile I have a box full of unknown pins, medals, badges , rings........ but can't find any info on internet about it . So this stuff sleeps for years in a box , waiting for an answer :) Thank you for your reply.

* very interesting Benten. I had collected Holocaust items for many years. A few times over the years I have seen 'barbed wire rings' similar to this,,but not exact. They were sometimes made by a survivors group or a firm then either sold at or given/awarded to survivors that attended the camp 'reunions' , meetings after the war.
- this could have been cast in the flat then rounded to make sizing easier. This is a very good quality ring,,I like it... A nice piece,, fine for a WW2 collection..

Gaspare, I think you are correct , the ring is made of a flat cast and then rounded .
little addition : Here a WW1 barbed wire badge with Belgiun flag , Imo made for Belgium prissoners of war, who had been captured by the Germans in Belgium but often in Germany for labour. . Date : the front shows no signs of WW1, Only on the backside there is a nice D?co style of that time.; here after WW1 .
Thank you for your reply .

Hi Mike,
The barbed wire on the ring and badge feels for real to me ; looks like it has been a part of the barbed wire of the camp. Thanks for your reply.

[A medal Belgium had for Holocaust survivors]
Benten,, I'm thinking it is for WW2 survivors of either a POW camp or Holocaust survivor.. Belgium was very proud / sympathetic of its Holocaust survivors..
