I would appreciate comments on this WKC Naval Miniature. It measures 10 7/8". It appears similiar to the one pictured on page 508 of Wittmann's naval book, except for the scabbard. Additionally, the scabbard has some strange defects on the rear. Thanks, John

This miniature was mounted on a piece of marble at one time by two studs on the scabbard that have been cut off.

Thanks Houston. Could an expert hammer these areas to remove these defects or is it better to just leave as it is?

It's a shame about that damage but IMO its better left alone. Also I don't think much can be done and it might make it worse.
