Good day, I am generally an insignia collector but this dagger popped up at a local antique store for $2700 USD . I am not versed enough to know if this is real or fake. My gut says its parts but would welcome any opinions.

I think it might be parts put together from different daggers. I don't like the looks of the eagle, either. It might be one of the pewter fakes. The hanger is missing its clip and shows signs of advanced age. I suggest you contact Paul Hogle at Lakeside Trader - https://www.lakesidetrader.com/Dave

Thanks for the responses. Overpriced and a guy that won't budge on his prices. He can keep itI . If I want to pull the trigger on that kind of money I'll find a reputable dealer in the hobby.
