Hi, can I please have your opinion on these Police shoulder boards. They do look like they are original. What branches of the Police would they be for? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, rocky

Yes, but he said he wasn't sure of the one with the label. I didn't get any more responses on the other forum so I thought that there might be some one over here that could help me.

The first set are for a Weimar Schutzpolizei Major, and the second set is for a Schutzpolizei Leutnant after 1936.

The first set are for a Weimar Schutzpolizei Major, and the second set is for a Schutzpolizei Leutnant after 1936. The first set are specifically for a Prussian Major d. Schutzpolizei 1932-1936. The second pair is odd, in that both seem have a secondary color layer. The bottom one is brown, but the second color layer on the upper one seems to be a greyish color? Or the brown has bleached out. Anyway, that rank is for an Obermeister/Revier-Leutnant of the Schutzpolizei d. Reich. The secondary color layer was created to provide officer rank insignia for the "Kriegs-Offiziere" that were created to fill the empty officer positions on the home front as those regular commissioned officers were transferred to the combat positions. These new "officers" were not commissioned and were usually senior NCOs.
