Was wondering if anyone has made anything TR or military related ? I have made plenty with my CNC, have been working on a NSDAP eagle model for a while and finally made a cut, turned out pretty nice. Cut out of corian so it has a solid, almost marble like appearance. This one is about 7x12", no reason I couldn't do it larger or smaller. Corian comes in many styles and colors, this is obviously solid white, a little too white for my liking so I am going to shade it, like model airplane guys do to make the plane look weathered.
The idea is the lines and recesses will be shaded and the higher surfaces will be white, should look pretty sweet if it turns out how I am thinking, will post back if it does. In the mean time I'd be interested to see anything else anyone has designed/made. Have been wanting to make a repo SA dagger grip out of exotic woods for a while now, still haven't got around to it.

Yes,
Really great and something I have never seen before
If you'd installed that in Eva Braun's kitchen, You'd have got the German Cross in Gold ... and maybe even a little something from Eva
Thanks, Dave

Yeah I think something like this would have had an erotic effect on Eva, which would have of course cost me my life.
I like the backlit effect, might make a little light box for it. Thats the thing, you make something like this, and then what ? Would look sweet as a cutout too, I am thinking of making one in railroad eagle proportions - Anyone know the wingspan on those ?

Tried another one, a mini RR eagle, turned out pretty good. Don't really like the gray speckled corian though, think I'll stick with the white if I do any more. Size can be gauged by pack of cigs in the background.

Yeah that would be a piece of work. Really want to do an SA grip out of some highly exotic wood, also am going to do an SA inlay with contrasting woods. I'll post back when/if I get motivated to do them.

Got bored and made these, pretty simple really. I use corian/soapstone blocks cut to 4x4" then I spray paint them black. Etch the design with my CNC, all done. Takes about an hour each, very little that needs to be done once they are off the machine save to blow off the dust. What looks to be flaws in the Waffen SS lettering are intentional, meant to give them a vintage, rippled look which doesn't translate that well to 2D but looks great in the design file.
