About 1 and and half year ago there was a very hard worn ring of this pattern for selling on eBay and discussed in an other forum.
This time i thought it is a non mass produced kind of trenchwork (sorry Marc).

Now while doing some reserching in other cases i had contact with some italian collectors, found out their opinion about and baught such ring.
Brass, nickel or chrome plated, airplaine and lettering in brass and, i think so, hold by an rivet (you can`t see it inside).
The Italians have the opinion These rings are made in northern italy to RSI times between 1943 and 1945.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italian_Social_Republic

They have too the opinion that this pattern was made only for german Stuka pilots because there is still a very close pattern for Stuka pilots of the RSI airforce.
Take a look and tell me your opinions.
Maybe someone here with more Knowledge about this pattern.

2 wonderful examples. There is a 3rd with just the plane.
Both in great condition and excellent additions to your collection, Congrats!

oh yeah,,about the years.. My opinion,, don't think Italy was doing much making and selling rings in 45,,or even 44. Probably from the haydays of their DAK rings [41-43]..

Here's mine just came in and "Stukas" badge appears nicely soldered on.

Hard to tell when they made it, but for sure an italian pre mai 1945 manufacture

Hi guys,

That is a nice ring, Ric. I also have a couple of Stuka rings. One is the same pattern as Rics although I dont think the plane looks particularly like a Stuka. The other is also nickel- or chrome-plated brass but more detailed than the other. It is a two-piece, brass plated ring and plate riveted together. The Stuka appears to be an early mark, the Ju87A. You can tell by the larger wheel coverings. 'LVZ West' stands for 'Luftverteidigungszone West', that is, Air Defence Zone West, 1940. This is often also referred to as the West Wall.

I shared these with Odal a while back. He liked them both.

Cheers,
Stephen
