On the smaller sizes, I have seen both. I?ve also seen ones that left the factory without the additional thread work, which was later done in the field. All flag sizes are prone to fraying if flown in conditions where they can be whipped.

IMO I would not go for this flag...I see at least three glaring areas of concern ...

Hi Dutchman,, to me it looks like one of the fake flags made by the company Delta and if the flag is 60x90 it's no good .

Could be Delta...there was another manufacturer out of California (whose name escapes me) that made flags with these characteristics.. as stated, run and don?t look back!

How much was the asking price?
Looks like a quality flag.
Is the size marked on the flag?

Well, fourth Reich quality to be certain..it is a nice filler but it is not original. The originals in this size are actually rather scarce and command a premium, as they fit most small to medium size display areas...I?ve seen this size go for as much as $650 at shows..prices asked for all size RKF are on the high side..certainly no scarcity here, lots to be had.

You are right about the prices on these little beauties.
JR has one on his site now, as does Grenadier auctions.
They both have the multiple sewn reinforcing on the end, and I am sure both are good, but much money.
This one here looks like a good filler if the price is right, but some will say no, not at all.
I'm a on a budget collector, and have to cut corners somewhere to be able to get good edge weapons.
Do not have a flag yet, but this size is great.

I'm sure they will have that flag for a while.
Grenadier auctions had one just go for $450.00, and it looked like a good flag and was in great condition. The auction just closed yesterday and is still on the site.
The size is 80x13, not sure how to convert to inches.
they are pricey for small flags. But soooooo neat.
Good luck looking for one.
JR Meda also has one on his site now also.
