Happy May to all.I just pick up this M42 Helmet.I know the exterior was repainted and the Decals are repro's.But is the shell a WW2 item?NS 64 D 285. Pix to follow All opinions and guess welcome..Thanks again,Dutchman.

your helmet shell in my opinion is the real deal period made but like you said everything else menyioned repaint decals but the liner might be german marked and dated on the band not the brown color liner could be an old norweign sprayed leather liner not 100 percent on that opinion as years ago there were many german helmets comeing from norway in the late 1980s i owned several hope you agree as i see im the only one so far with an honest opinion god bless andy militarynut

She?ll is real but resprayed with new decals and post war Norwegian liner . Rob
