Can anyone tell me what this sword is?
I got it from the family of the Vet, but they don't know anything about it.
Eickhorn marked, No swaz.

Its a German army sword of some type.

NCO sword. Early 30s based on the Eickhorn mark.

In period German catalogs and documentation it's a Mannschaftsabel usually for those who were horse mounted vs. foot soldiers. Intended to be worn off duty with the proper uniform by the lower rank enlisted men up through the junior grades of Noncommissioned Officers. Best Regards Fred
