Hello,
Just picked up this Navy Dirk but feel it may not be authentic because of the 'Japan Sword' marking on the underside of the cross guard - see images below. Any feedback would be very helpful

Just an update as I discovered more information on this dirk I want to share. As some of you may know these were produced post war by the Japanese Sword Company for GIs etc up until about 1960. They are well made and may have used original parts but were not worn pre-1945.
