Hello,
I have the chance to buy this hunting dagger. I know the scabbard is not original and the etch is very faint. The seller said it's hard to get a picture of. I trust the seller, but he may not know if the dagger is good or not. It's pretty cheap (as far as these go) so I don't mind the blade to much.
What do you guys think? Value?

It's a Forestry Cutlass and it may be a parts piece. The blade is an early original WKC but the style of the grips look to be much later. Would need an in-hand inspection to really tell.

This is an original forestry cutlass with what you already know to be the wrong scabbard, it's a late Weimar piece in my opinion, the knot or portepee is not original to the dagger either, value is very low, I suggest you wait and buy something slightly better.
