Well it seems the Louisville Expo fair board has reached a final decision on the offensive items.
There will be no reproduction items that show a swastika allowed at the shows, for display or sale.
This will be the first show with these new rules, and I hope all goes well.
See you all there

Thank you for the update, for those of us who have already booked our flights and hotels it's welcome news.
Cheers

Yes, I was happy that it did not go further.
Keeping all post WWII items out will be a chore, I hope it goes smooth.
I booked last month. There are a lot of things going on that weekend at the Expo. Motel rooms were up a bunch, and in short supply.
We were lucky to stay on Phillips Lane, close to the show.

It should be interesting to see who is appointed "Seller Inspector" to determine what is a fake.

Yes, it will be very interesting to see how this all plays out.
Reddick and the like will take the big hit. Quality fakes will just be there.
There is NO KNOWING how many people will be there to look for the fair board.
BUT, if they come up with a bad review, there could be serious affects on following shows
I do hope all plays out, and dies down.

Update
The OVMS would like any photos of US troops with WAR TROPHIES of any kind, from any war, to use in a display at the SOS this year.
They feel this will help to explain why we are all interested in these items from our enemy.
If you have any period photos you would like to share, just let OVMS know.
I am sure there will be many people there, including the media, looking for reasons to complain.
The display would help explain.

This is what Gaspare had in mind to show the reason we collect these items.
Thanks Gas

Are the OVMS compensating folks for the photos?

Such as maybe year's free renewal ?

Not sure Dave.
I'm sure they will be grateful if we try to save our shows.
They will get your pictures back to you.
If you need to be compensated, better ask first.
Andy! I'd like something else besides BBQ on the third day.
But, they sure are good.
We better enjoy this show, could be short lived.
