Hello Gentlemen! Bought a collection today and made the rookie mistake that I did not inspected all the items before I got home. Had to laugh when I saw the terrible Robert Klaas bayonet, but think there is a hope for the Holler bayonet, What do you think? Best Regards FJ

Yeah, the non plated blade and the bad mortise key on the Klaas is pretty bad. The H?ller is OK, no worries there. The brown Luftwaffe dress frog steals the show!!

Can you make better pictures of that Klaas?
I see nothing wrong with it.

I'm with Stingray.. I see nothing wrong with the Klaas either. A non-plated blade is not usual, but also not impossible.

I have to admit that I'm not so familiar with dress bayonets. Thought that all such came with plating and thought this might be a blade that was put on in recent times. Was even more suspicious when I saw that the plates have severals cracks and the rivets were knocked flat on one side. Will be happy if I'm wrong. Can not take good pictures, but tell if more details are needed.

Best regards Arvid

Well, some makers made polished blades like a Epack with large maker mark.
Also Klaas with short blade but with unique wide blood groove .
The rivets were probably replaced , for some reason .

Same opinion, blade is polished heavy but mashinelly, the grips are cracked so mostly replacements. Is the handle a solid brass? as looking on the yellow areas of pommel and guard?? b.r.Andy
