Hi there,

As someone who's very interested in WW2, I decided I want to collect some items belonging to that era. I've been offered a dagger for ? 2.400 ($ 2800). I've read about the daggers online a lot and I heard there are a lot of fake daggers and so called 'part' daggers. As the sum they ask is quite a lot, I would like to make sure that I purchase an authentic dagger. Could you guys have a look at the pictures and tell me what you think? Is it real, fake or a parts dagger? And if possible, perhaps tell me if the price they ask is fair?

It's a excellent example you found. Don't see anything wrong with it. Definitely not a parts dagger
And the interesting thing is that there are two hangers attached to it, which makes the price for the dagger I would say fair. Not cheap not expensive just priced right.

It also looks like it has never been taken apart, which is a good sign. excellent condition !
For a first SS dagger I think you found yourself a nice example! I really like it
And I would definitely go for it if I were you.
This one is a keeper.

Looks like a 100% SS Dagger.

I love the wear (patina) on this one too. You just can't fake this look, no matter how hard you try. Nice.

And, You get two hangers !!

The daggers were never used with both, take one or the other off.
