This guys got some age to it... small, maybe a 6.5 or 7- only fits my pinky, and snug! Silver plated cast piece it seems, nice federal eagle and shield, wreath and flower could be a rose or a poppy I can not tell. On the shanks are the names Camille and Mariette. Sounds like someone with kinfolk in the bayou..,

Mike,,,I like it!! For some reason I think that's a real old ring,,100 years old? [that's only WW1 now guys!].. anyway..

What is that on the one side?, some sort of damage? or is it from being a clad piece originally?

hi members
good morning to you was looking at this ring you show with the bird with full open wings wings this is my opinion what i think it may be only thing i dont know is what metal was used mike hit the nail ion the head tt appears to be nickled as it shows peeling also my opinion i feel its not u.s.a. that is not an american eagle there is a name for this bird could it be thunder bird also the shield is close to the american shield from 1898 close but no cigar yet this ring resembles possibly mexican from early 1920s i believe when it was made the thunder bird stampings were pressed on then plated and i also feel it wasnt made from a coin either thats a solid metal shank not rolled hope all agrees with my opinion have a great day god bless andy militarynut

Andy,,you got our gears turning!! Although I'm not so sure about the Mexican connection.

Looks like a clad coin.... Looks like IF you could pull the back apart and make flat it would be round piece. But photos play funny games on your eyes...
SO,, we'll wait for Mikes nice big clear photos of the inner band and outer sideband etc. shots! wink
