I stopped in my local auto repair shop this morning and saw this 1825 Infantry Officers Sword on the wall. Obviously the knuckle bow is broken. The Ivory grip is perfect. The blade was blued and gold at one time but 95% of it is missing, no maker marks. The blade has the normal single line engraving The brass scabbard looks good but no throat or decorations. Scabbard bands are decorated. The grip wire looks odd but I think it's original. Now I've got to find a re-sizing tool for the two photos I took
