Nice uniform for a Wachtmeister. A Fire Axe would be a nice addition. The insignia looks complete.

Is there anything missing that needs to be added for it to be complete? Is it truly a fire/Police uniform?

I'm not sure, I do not do uniforms, but is a firemans medal appropriate here??
I looked for one at the SOS this year to go with my Tiger sawback bayonet. They were kind of pricey.

Hello,

In my opinion, when worn with the schirmmutze a plain black leather belt and fireman's blackened buckle would be appropriate. The utility / service belt was worn with the helmet, and the axe with full dress uniform. The peak cap was walking out dress. Your WW1 ribbon bar is OK as most volunteer firemen during the war were older guys and WW1 vets.

The uniform in this photo is older,( pre 1936), than the one you show, but the regulations were the same during the NS-zeit

Wow.. I did not know that the bar was a WWI bar. Learned something new today . Thank you . Yall wouldnt believe it, but I only paid $7.00 for that uniform . I have more money in the stand than the uniform.

Your ribbons are for a ww1 iron cross 2nd class, and a ww1 service medal. Indeed $7 is an incredibly cheap price. These volunteer fire uniforms are not high on collector's want list, but they do have some historical interest, and command prices in the low $100's.I just noticed that you need the national colors rosette for you cap.
